Kids on the Slope (2018) is a Japanese drama historical musical romance film based on the manga series Sakamichi no Apollon by Yuki Kodama, tells Kaoru Nishimi (Yuri Chinen), moves out to Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan because of his father’s work. He is a first grade high school student with an introverted personality. He meets classmates Sentaro Kawabuchi (Taishi Nakagawa), who is labelled as a disorderly student, and Ritsuko Mukae (Nana Komatsu), who is a beautiful student. Kaoru Nishimi falls in love with beautiful Ritsuko Mukae. Kaoru Nishimi is talented with the piano, but he only plays classics. Due to Ritsuko Mukae, Kaoru Nishimi begins to play jazz. To make this movie successful, Yuri Chinen has practiced playing the piano since September, 2016 to play Kaoru Nishimi. Taishi Nakagawa played the drums for approximately one year while in elementary school and he began practicing the drums since July, 2017 to play Sentaro Kawabuchi.

Rainbow Days (2018) is a Japanese comedy drama musical romance film based on the manga series of the same name by Minami Mizuno, tells a group of high school students. They are very close friends, even though they have different personalities and hobbies. Their days are spent happily and vibrantly. Natsuki Hashiba gets a crush on female high school student Anna Kobayakawa and their daily lives begin to change. They are Natsuki Hashiba (Reo Sano), Tomoya Matsunaga (Taishi Nakagawa), Tsuyoshi Naoe (Mahiro Takasugi) and Keiichi Katakura (Ryusei Yokohama).

Those Years, We Went After You (2018) is a Japanese drama musical romance film based on the novel Na Xie Nian, Wo Men Yi Qi Zhui De Nu Hai by Giddens Ko, tells about Kosuke Mizushima (Yuki Yamada), a high school student at a provincial city and enjoys a comfortable life. One day, due to Kosuke Mizushima's excessive joke, his class is interrupted. The teacher gets upset and makes model student Mai Hayase (Asuka Saito) keep an eye on Kosuke Mizushima. Kosuke Mizushima and his 4 friends all had crushes on Mai when they were in middle school. Due to a small incident, Kosuke Mizushima and Mai Hayase get close. The film was also becomes a remake of the 2011 Taiwan Movies You Are the Apple of My Eye (Na Xie Nian, Wo Men Yi Qi Zhui De Nu Hai) which is directed by Giddens Ko itself.

Forest of Sheep and Steel (2018) is a Japanese comedy drama musical film based on the novel of the same name by Natsu Miyashita, tells the story about a high school student who lives in Hokkaido, Naoki Tomura (Kento Yamazaki), meets piano tuner Soichiro Itadori (Tomokazu Miura) at his school. Naoki could smell the forest from the piano tuned by Soichiro. Naoki is touched by his work and begins to work at the musical instruments store where Soichiro works. Naoki develops relationships with many people related with the piano and he meets Kazune and Yuni. They are sister pianists and high school students.
